How the famous Boston cake works

 Boston cake is a cake with a delicious creamy filling and adorns the cake with irresistible chocolate ganache .

Ingredients

  • To prepare the cake:
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • 7 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • ½Cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 vanilla envelope
  • ½Tsp baking powder
  • ½Teaspoon salt
  • To prepare the creamy filling:
  • 2 ½ cup hot milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 egg
  • ½Cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp starch
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 vanilla envelope
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • To prepare ganache:
  • ½Cup liquid dessert cream
  • 200 g dark chocolate

Method of preparation

  1. Put in a bowl both eggs and sugar and beat with an electric whisk until the mixture is white .
  2. Add oil, butter and milk, beat well, then add flour, vanilla, baking powder, salt and whisk until the ingredients are mixed .
  3. Grease the cake mold, sprinkle with flour, pour the cake mixture into it and put in the oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes .
  4. Remove from the oven and leave aside to cool completely .
  5. In the process we prepare the creamy filling, put in a bowl both the sugar, egg and egg yolk and stir well until the mixture becomes white .
  6. Sift the starch over the mixture, stir well, gradually add the hot milk while continuing to stir and put on the fire until thick.
  7. Turn off the fire, add the vanilla and butter, stir until the butter melts, then put the mixture in a bowl, cover with nylon and leave in the fridge for three hours until it cools completely .
  8. Put in an electric blender both chocolate and cream and turn it on so that the ganache is ready .
  9. Divide the cake into two layers and then put between them the creamy filling and then pour the ganache and put the cake in the fridge for two hours and more until the layers hold together .
  10. Remove the cake from the fridge and cut it so it is ready to serve .
