Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½Cup corn kernels
  • To prepare caramel:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 cup liquid milk
  • 1 teaspoon sodium carbonate

Method of preparation

  1. Put a spoon of vegetable oil in a deep saucepan and then put the corn kernels .
  2. We continue to stir the corn kernels over high heat until they change color, begin to ripen and turn into popcorn .
  3. Set aside the popcorn in a bowl until it cools well .
  4. In another saucepan put both white sugar, brown sugar and a pinch of salt and continue stirring over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and turns into caramel .
  5. After the sugar has dissolved, add the butter to the caramel, stir and when it is dissolved add the milk and stir quickly until the ingredients are mixed .
  6. Add sodium carbonate and then add the popcorn over the caramel and stir thoroughly .
  7. Leave the popcorn until completely cooled and ready to serve .
