How to make crispy chaboura

Shabora or qarshla or sesame tea cakes are a type of cakes or crispy biscuits that are eaten with tea or as a quick breakfast, the name varies from country to country and is known in different countries of the world with some variations preparation and nomenclature .

  • Cooking time: 40 minutes
  • Total time: 55 minutes


  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • Half a glass of sugar
  • Teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons dry milk
  • 3 tablespoons of anise beans
  • 3 tablespoons til
  • Pinch of salt

Method of preparation

  1. Mix the liquid ingredients with a bat cake .
  2. Add sugar to the liquid ingredients and beat well .
  3. Mix dry ingredients start adding them to the liquid ingredients gradually and admire them to get a paste knit .
  4. Put the butter paper in the oven tray and stretch the dough and sprinkle sesame on top .
  5. We put them in the oven at 180 degrees until golden .
  6. We remove the tray from the oven and cut it, then leave it for about a quarter of an hour until it cools and then re-enter it into the oven for 12 minutes until it dries and becomes crispy .
