How to make meat salad in the Turkish way

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ teaspoon sumac
  • 100 ml skimmed yogurt
  • Juice ½ lemon
  • Handful of mint
  • 150 g peas
  • 1 bunch of arugula
  • ½Green onion bunch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 x 125 g lamb chops
  • 120 g halloumi cheese

Method of preparation

  1. Prepare the sauce, stir sumac, yogurt, lemon juice and mint and set aside . Put the peas in boiling water for two minutes then drain and put it under cold water, then mix it with watercress and green onions .
  2. Put the oil in a large pan over high heat . Season the meat with salt and pepper, put it in the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on two sides, remove from the pan, cover with foil and set aside .
  3. Put the pan back on the fire, add the halloumi cheese and fry for 1-2 minutes on both sides until golden . When serving, cut the meat into slices, mix it with halloumi cheese and salad, then pour the yogurt sauce and the salad bowl is ready .
