How to make a sponge cake with fruits and nuts

Sponge cake recipe with dried fruits and nuts will be one of the cake recipes that you adopt always made for your family and children it is easy, tasty and nutritious and your children can eat it for breakfast with juice or tea or take it to school .

  • ½Cup mixed nuts
  • ½Cup raisins
  • ½Cup dried fruit
  • 10 chopped red cherries (optional)
  • 1 ½ cup flour
  • ½Cup milk powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½Cup melted butter or oil

Method of preparation

  1. Put in a bowl both nuts, raisins, dried fruits and red cherries, stir well and set aside .
  2. Sift in a bowl both flour, milk and baking powder and set aside .
  3. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and put the yolks aside .
  4. Whisk the egg whites with an electric whisk until light and creamy, then gradually add the sugar while continuing to whisk .
  5. Add the vanilla, then the egg yolks gradually, whisking well after each egg .
  6. Add the dry ingredients and out until ingredients are completely combined .
  7. Gradually add the butter, stirring the spatula in one direction until mixed with the mixture .
  8. Put a tablespoon of water on the fruits and nuts, stir, then add half the amount in the cake mix and stir .
  9. Grease the cake tray and put in butter paper and decorate with the rest of the fruits and nuts and then put the tray in the oven at 170 heat for about 35-40 minutes .
  10. We take the cake out of the oven and cut it so that it is ready .
