Turkish Shukr Bari are tablets of butter, sugar, semolina and flour watered with Shira and decorated with nuts and are very tasty and easy to prepare wherever you are .

  • 2 ½ cup sugar
  • 2 ½ cup water
  • Lemon slice
  • To prepare the dough of:
  • 125 g butter
  • ½Cup powdered sugar
  • ½Cup oil
  • 1 egg
  • ½Cup semolina
  • 1 Peking powder envelope
  • 1 vanilla envelope
  • 3 cups flour

Method of preparation

  1. Put in a saucepan both sugar and water and stir over high heat until the sugar dissolves and brings to a boil .
  2. Leave the mixture for ten minutes on low heat and then put the piece of lemon, let it boil a few minutes, then turn off the fire and let it cool .
  3. Put in a bowl both butter, powdered sugar, oil and egg and stir well .
  4. Then add the semolina, baking powder and vanilla, stir and gradually add the flour with kneading until we get a soft non-stick dough .
  5. Put butter paper on the oven tray, form discs of dough and arrange in the tray .
  6. Decorate the ornaments with nuts to taste and put in the oven at 180 for about 30 minutes .
  7. Take the hot Sweetener out of the oven and strain it with cold Sherpa and leave it aside for several hours until the Sherpa is completely absorbed .
  8. Put the trinkets in a plate so it's ready to serve.
