Ingredients

  • 2 cups yogurt milk
  • 2 cups soft semolina
  • 1 ½ cup coconut
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • ½Teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tsp Peking powder
  • Qatar (Shira) for watering ornaments

Method of preparation

  1. Put semolina in a bowl, add oil, coconut, vanilla and baking powder to it and knead the ingredients well .
  2. Leave aside for about a quarter of an hour until the semolina oil completely .
  3. Add sugar and stir until well mixed .
  4. Add the yogurt and stir until the ingredients are mixed together completely .
  5. Grease the tray with oil, sprinkle with semolina, pour the mixture and put in a preheated oven at 180 for about 25-30 minutes until golden.
  6. We take the basbousa out of the oven and let it rest a minute and then pour the diameter over the basbousa and leave it until absorbed and completely cool .
